Bamburgh

Driftwood is a modern semi- detached house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. There are beds for 6 adults or children, a double bed in the master bedroom and twin beds in one upstairs and one downstairs bedroom. A cot, with mattress, but no bedding, is available and we are happy, if you wished to bring a further cot, for 2 children under 2 to stay in addition to the 6 adults/children. There is a high chair and a child safety gate is also available for the top of the stairs. A mains powered smoke and fire alarm is fitted and the kitchen is equipped with a fire blanket and extinguisher. Driftwood is a non - smoking property and we do not accept pets. An attached garage houses a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer and there is a rotary clothes line and airing rack. Garden chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue are also provided in addition to a garden bench and tables.

Heating is via night storage heaters on the ground floor with 2 convector heaters in case of sudden changes in the weather. There is also an open fire in the living room. There are convector heaters in the upstairs bedrooms and fan heaters and heated towel rails in each bathroom. Hot water is provided via a large, off peak, mains pressure system with an immersion heater. The rental cost includes bed linen (duvets) for the 6 beds and towels. All power is included and there is a small stock of coal and logs for the fire. Further supplies can be purchased from the garage in Seahouses.

There is parking for one car on the driveway but there are parking spaces along the road outside the house. Being a cul-de-sac there is little passing traffic. Driftwood has been let by a major national agency for 5 years as a 5 star property and was awarded 3 Gold awards for customer satisfaction.
